Israeli Army Arrests 11 People in West Bank

JENIN, December 2, 2013 (WAFA) – The Israeli army arrested Monday eight people in the Jenin area town of Ya’bad, including a councilman, two in Hebron and a minor near Ramallah, security sources said.

Forces raided several houses in Ya’bad, arresting Mohammad Abu Baker, 32, member of the town’s city council, along with seven others, some of them over 40 years of age, including one 53 years old, according to the security sources.

The town has recently suffered repeated attacks by the Israeli army, including destruction of olive trees on the main road and handing summons for youngsters.

In Hebron, troops arrested a 57-year-old man after searching his home and damaging its contents.

Forces also arrested a 35-year-old man from the town of Sair, near Hebron.

The Prisoner Club said soldiers arrested a 17-year-old minor from Mughayyer, north of Ramallah.
