Israeli Army Arrests Seven during Large Scale Camp Raid South of Hebron

HEBRON, August 16, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday injured seven Palestinians with live round bullets during a raid into homes in Fawwar refugee camp south of Hebron.

According to local security sources, Israeli soldiers hit several young Palestinians with rubber steal bullets and live rounds when they raided the camp. The youth were identified as Tamer Abdulmajid, 27, Muaz Arar, 29, 18-year-old Faris Titi, Ismail Najjar, and 18-year-old Mamoun Shawabkah.

They were transferred to Yatta public hospital to receive immediate medical treatment.

Medical sources at the Red Crescent told WAFA that most injuries were mainly in the lower extremities and were described as light to moderate.

Israeli forces also arrested Rajeh Abui Ajamiah, 45, while snipers deployed on the rooftops of many homes after thoroughly inspecting the content.

A surveillance balloon was used and Israeli forces intensified the camp’s siege.
