Israeli Army Shoots, Kills two Youths, Injures Seven Others in West Bank Clashes

JENIN, December 19, 2013 (WAFA) – The Israeli army forces late Wednesday shot dead two Palestinian youths as well as injured seven others during a raid on the West Bank cities of Jenin and Qaliqilia, according to witnesses and medical sources.

They said undercover Israeli army units, backed up by a large military force, stormed Jenin refugee camp and raided a detainee’s house in the camp, provoking residents and leading to confrontations and the killing of 22-year-old Nafe al-Saadi and the injury of seven other Palestinians who were also shot during the confrontations, including al-Saade’s cousin.

They said the army opened fire at al-Saade and his cousin while they were passing near the detainee’s house, injuring them with several bullets in their legs. Forces led them to an unknown destination before handing over al-Saadi’s body. His cousin is still under custody.

Meanwhile in Qalqilya, 24-year-old Saleh Yaseen, an officer in the Palestinian intelligence, was shot dead after being ambushed.

Yaseen clashed with the forces; forces fired several live bullets at Yaseen, killing him instantly.
