Israeli Navy Shoots, Critically Injures Fisherman off Gaza

GAZA, December 3, 2014 (WAFA) – A Palestinian fisherman Wednesday was injured by an Israeli naval boat’s fire while sailing offshore the city of Gaza, according to witnesses.

They said an Israeli naval boat opened fire at the fisherman, Fakher Abu Rayyala, 23, while he sailing within the six-nautical-miles allowed fishing zone, seriously injuring him.

Abu Rayyala was transferred of serious wounds to hospital for medical treatment where he was to undergo emergency surgery.

To be noted, Israeli navy continues to target Palestinian fishermen sailing offshore the coasts of Gaza despite of a ceasefire deal that put an end to the Israeli summer aggression on August 26th.
