RAMALLAH, October 1, 2013 (WAFA) – The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Alumni Association in Palestine (KAAP) organized last week an event for Palestinian orphans in Tulkarm, a press release said Tuesday.
It said the event was held at the Dar al-Yatim al-Arabi, a shelter for orphans in Tulkarm.
The event included recreation activities for the children such as face painting and making presents.
About 60 children in the daycare center, four board members and five KOICA staffers took part in the event, said the press release.
KAAP plans other social activities through the year, it added.
KOICA is a government agency of the Republic of Korea implementing the government’s grant aid and technical cooperation programs.
KOICA Alumni Association in Palestine (KAAP) was founded in 2010 to represent Palestinians who took part in KOICA training programs. All graduate of KOICA’s training program become automatically members of KAAP. There are currently 324 members.
