Palestinian Minor Shot Dead by Israeli Forces South of Nablus

NABLUS, December 29, 2014 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Monday afternoon shot dead a Palestinian minor and injured another near Zaʻtara military checkpoint to the south of Nablus, said security sources.

Sources said Israeli forces opened fire at 17-year-old Imam Dweikat and 16-year-old Nael Thiab within the area of Beita town near Zaʻtara checkpoint, which controls movement between southern and northern occupied West Bank governorates.

The two minors were shot at in the area between Zaʻtara checkpoint and Osarin village. Thiab was reportedly shot in his left thigh and consequently evacuated to Rafidia Hospital, where medics described his situation as stable.

Local media outlets reported that Israeli forces continue to withhold the body of Dweikat until the moment of writing the story.
