Palestinian Youth Shot and Injured, Dozens Suffocate in Clashes across Hebron

HEBRON, July 16, 2014 (WAFA) – A Palestinian youth, Wednesday at dawn, was shot and injured with a live bullet, while dozens others suffered from tear gas suffocation during confrontations with Israeli forces in several locations in the Hebron area, according to WAFA correspondent.

A 23-year-old Palestinian was shot and injured with a live bullet in the foot during clashes that erupted at Halhoul Bridge, near Hebron’s northern entrance. He was transferred to hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, confrontations also erupted in Bab Al-zawya area at the Hebron trade center, Ras Al-Jura, and in the town of Beit Ummer, all located to the north of Hebron; forces fired live ammunition, rubber-coated steel bullets and tear gas and acoustic canisters towards residents, causing dozens to suffocate due to tear gas inhalation.
