Road Blocked due to Israeli Military Training near Hebron

HEBRON, April 29, 2014 (WAFA) – Israeli army forces on Tuesday proceeded to conduct military exercises at the entrance of the town of Beit Ummar to the south of Hebron as well as closed the road leading to the town, according to activist Mohammad Awad, spokesperson for the anti-settlement committee in the village.

He said army forces intensified their presence in the area and set a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Ummar and checked identity cards of drivers and passengers, which caused a traffic jam.

The forces also broke through the village for military training purposes and fired tear gas and stun grenades towards local residents. No injuries were reported.
