Settlers Attack Palestinian Herders near Nablus

NABLUS, November 23, 2014 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers on Sunday assaulted three Palestinian herders while they were grazing their sheep  near Nablus, according to local sources.

Hamza Deriya, of the Anti-Settlement Committee, said settlers attacked three herders in the village of Aqraba, south of Nablus, and beat them up.

The settlers attempted to abduct the herders, said Deriya, before local residents were able to fend off the settlers’ assault.

The offensive came hours after illegal Israeli settlers attacked Palestinians working at a vegetable stand market in Jerusalem with metal rods and wooden sticks.

Meanwhile on Saturday, Settlers driving a car  east of Qalqilia also attempted to attack and kidnap a Palestinian youth while he was on his way to work.

Several calls were made by Palestinian activists, urging Palestinians to be careful and take caution against settlers revenge attacks in light of the current tension in the Palestinian territory, particularly in Jerusalem.
