Settlers Raze Land for Road in West Bank

SALFIT, September 24, 2013 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers Tuesday razed Palestinian land in the village of Sarta, southwest of Nablus, to build a new settlement road, according to a local activist.

Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities in the north of the West Bank, told WAFA that settlers from nearby Israeli settlements razed land belonging to Palestinians to build two-kilometer long road that passes through the villages of Broqin and Sarta to connect the settlement of Bruchin to the Trans-Samaria road.

Clashes broke out between settlers and residents who tried to stop them from razing their land.

No injuries were reported.
