Settlers Surround, Attack Farmer near Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, April 28, 2014 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers on Monday surrounded a Palestinian farmer while he was grazing his sheep on his private-owned land in the village of Wadi Rahhal near Bethlehem, preventing him from returning home, said Hassan Burejeyeh, coordinator of the anti-settlement committee in Bethlehem.

He said settlers, accompanied by their dogs, surrounded farmer Mohammad Ayesh, 55, from the nearby village of Artas, while he was present at his own ranch and prevented him to leave.

To be noted, the incident came a day following a similar assault by settlers against Ayesh; settlers stormed Ayesh land and when he asked them to leave they unleashed their dogs to attack him as well as severely beat him up, causing him several bruises throughout his body.
